Have a meeting with yourself. 100% about you.

There is almost always a point in a two hour meeting where I want to end things. It’s a lot for my brain and I am sure for yours too. So many meetings are a waste of time, unfocused and get us off track.

And you leave those 2 hour meetings with nothing left, you will agree to anything and sometimes I used to agree to stuff just to get the hell out of the meeting.

Do you want to get better or want your week to be more productive?

If you are feeling like your diary and productivity isnt where it should be then this is for you.

Remember there is no change or improvement without change….so give this a try.

This new meeting you are going to have is entirely different. Its productive, decisive, on time and extremely well run. It is a meeting with YOURSELF.

On your terms. On your time. Your rules.

One hour each week to think, plan and get clear on the week ahead. I do it on a Friday or a Monday. Book the hour and a place where you know you won't get disturbed.

WHY a meeting with yourself?

Because if we don’t plan our week intentionally then we lose control, end up doing things that aren’t a priority, and we end up focused on things that matter less, waste time and our results suffer. This is the reason things take so long to get done: lack of focus and decision making.

No interuptions.
No talking over you.
No bad behaviours.
No one dominating the conversation.

A meeting with yourself is 100% about you and your future.

It helps you get your energy and priorities aligned.

It’s a moment that matters and its for you to think about you, the team and the business.

I use this framework to help me make the most out of the time with myself….

DEFER: what can I put off that is not important for this week.
DELEGATE: what can someone else do?
DELETE: what low value items can I LET GO of?
DO: what 3 or 5 things will I achieve this week?

I have been doing this for a few years now. The meeting with yourself is the best meeting of the week. And there is no excuse for it being badly chaired or going over time!

YOU get to decide, agree, approve and deliver the things that matter to you. What is more empowering that that?

Try it out and let me know how you go. I promise your will see immediate improvement in your clarity, focus and productivity.
